We are looking for a skilled individual for the role of Senior Claims Analyst, responsible for managing all probate and estate processes related to various state Medicaid beneficiaries or deceased Medicaid beneficiaries.

This role encompasses intake, case maintenance, claims evaluation and selection, asset investigation, court documentation, and deadline oversight, along with settlement and other associated tasks.

Responsibilities include claims evaluation and selection, case workflow management, and settlement processes.
Engage professionally (i.e., through incoming and outgoing communications) with attorneys, insurance adjusters, medical providers, court personnel, recipients, family members, and clients.
Daily telephone interactions with counterparties, including attorneys, adjusters, and healthcare providers.
Verify and confirm third-party liability, as well as conduct probate and beneficiary asset research.
Draft necessary correspondence, liens, claims, and other relevant documents to advance the case towards recovery.
Negotiate and settle claim/lien amounts in accordance with contractual guidelines.
Address all claim/lien disputes and review claims with attorneys and other stakeholders.
Conduct both basic and advanced document reviews to ascertain current case status, perform legal research, and manage case workflow to ensure progress.

Prioritize case events and critical payment/recovery issues while adhering to various internal and legal deadlines that impact revenue.

May act as an escalation point for assistant claims examiners.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including PowerPoint, Word, and Excel, is required.
Ability to thrive under pressure and manage deadline-driven project demands and multiple initiatives.

Experience in a legal environment is advantageous; paralegal or legal assistant experience and/or background in the insurance sector (casualty or health insurance) is a plus.
Familiarity with Microsoft Word and Excel is essential.
Basic knowledge of Microsoft Access is preferred.
Bilingual proficiency (Spanish & English) is a plus.
