Mythical Games is in search of a proficient Senior Manager, Accounting to enhance our expanding Accounting & Finance division. The Senior Accounting Manager will oversee the management and preservation of precise financial records, scrutinizing financial data, and delivering strategic insights to bolster the company’s financial goals. This position demands robust accounting knowledge, meticulous attention to detail, and the capability to thrive in a dynamic and fast-paced setting, reporting directly to the Director of Finance.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Financial Reporting:
  • Compile and evaluate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in line with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) or applicable accounting standards.
  • Perform variance analysis and offer insights into financial performance, identifying trends, and suggesting suitable actions.
  • Oversee the consolidation of financial statements for both domestic and international entities.
  • Assist in the creation of ad hoc financial reports and presentations.
  1. General Accounting:
  • Supervise the month-end and year-end closing processes, including journal entries and reconciliations.
  • Maintain the general ledger, ensuring the accurate and timely recording of financial transactions.
  1. Compliance and Auditing:
  • Guarantee adherence to accounting policies, procedures, and relevant regulatory requirements.
  • Manage internal and external audits, providing necessary documentation and explanations.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance internal controls and financial processes.
  1. Process Improvement:
  • Identify opportunities for process enhancement and automation to boost efficiency and accuracy.
  • Work alongside the finance team to implement new accounting software or systems as required.

Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor’s degree or higher in an accounting-related discipline with over 6 years of experience. A CPA or equivalent certification is mandatory.
  • In-depth knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, and accounting principles.
  • Proficient in utilizing accounting software and tools (e.g., NetSuite, SAP, or similar systems).
  • Exceptional analytical skills with the ability to present financial data and recommendations to senior management.
  • Capacity to work collaboratively in a team environment and effectively communicate complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities, with the capacity to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.

The anticipated base salary range for this position is contingent on the location where the employee's work will be performed and is aligned with one of our three compensation pay range tiers. Base pay is merely one component of Mythical's total compensation package, which is designed to reward and recognize employees for their contributions and efforts. This role is also eligible for participation in Mythical's Corporate Bonus and Equity Plan.

Compensation Tiers:

Tier 1: $110,000 - $152,000
Tier 2: $99,000 - $136,000
Tier 3: $88,000 - $121,000

Remote Work Opportunities:

This role is open to candidates in various states on a remote basis.

The base salary for each successful applicant will be influenced by several factors, including work location, education, qualifications, competencies, relevant work experience, business needs, and market demands. Consequently, in certain situations, the actual salary may fall outside of this expected range. This pay range is subject to change and may be adjusted in the future.
