The Lead Accounting Manager will oversee the management and accuracy of financial records, conduct financial analysis, and deliver strategic insights to align with the company's financial goals.
This position demands a high level of accounting proficiency, meticulous attention to detail, and the capability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, reporting directly to the Director of Finance.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Reporting:
Generate and evaluate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) or applicable accounting standards.
Oversee the consolidation of financial statements for both domestic and international entities.
Assist in the creation of ad hoc financial reports and presentations.
General Accounting:
Supervise the month-end and year-end closing processes, including journal entries and reconciliations.
Maintain the general ledger, ensuring precise and timely recording of financial transactions.
Compliance and Auditing:
Guarantee adherence to accounting policies, procedures, and relevant regulatory requirements.
Manage internal and external audits, supplying necessary documentation and explanations.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance internal controls and financial processes.
Process Improvement:
Identify opportunities for process enhancement and automation to boost efficiency and accuracy.
Work alongside the finance team to implement new accounting software or systems as necessary.
Qualifications:
A Bachelor's degree or higher in an accounting-related discipline with over 6 years of experience. A CPA or equivalent certification is mandatory.
In-depth knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, and accounting principles.
Proficient in utilizing accounting software and tools (e.g., NetSuite, SAP, or similar systems).
Exceptional analytical skills and the ability to present financial data and recommendations to senior management.
Capability to work collaboratively in a team setting and effectively communicate complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
The anticipated base salary range for this position is contingent upon the location where the employee's work will be performed and is aligned with one of our three compensation pay range tiers.
Base pay is just one component of Mythical's total compensation package, which is designed to reward and recognize employees for their contributions.
This role is also eligible for participation in Mythical's Corporate Bonus and Equity Plan.Compensation Tiers:
Tier 1:
$110,000 - $152,000
Tier 2:
$99,000 - $136,000
Tier 3:
$88,000 - $121,000
Remote Work Opportunities:
This role is open to candidates in various states on a remote basis.
The base salary for each successful applicant will depend on several factors, including work location, education, qualifications, competencies, relevant work experience, business needs, and market demands.
Therefore, in some cases, the actual salary could fall outside of this expected range. This pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future.
