Job Description

The Marketing Director develops marketing strategies and plans that drive brand building, category growth, and effective communication while guiding a team through delivery. This role manages and directs the creation and execution of these strategies in collaboration with other functions to ensure alignment with the company's goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement comprehensive marketing strategies that align with the company's goals and objectives.
  • Oversee the marketing teams, including branding, category growth, and marketing communication, to ensure all marketing campaigns and initiatives are executed effectively and efficiently.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales, product development, finance, and operations, to ensure alignment and drive business growth.
  • Monitor and analyze marketing performance metrics to assess the effectiveness of campaigns and adjust strategies as needed.
  • Develop and manage marketing budgets and ensure all spending is within budgetary guidelines.

Requirements:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related discipline from an accredited university/college is required, with a minimum of 10 years of marketing experience in which 5+ years are in a leadership role; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in marketing for consumer packaged goods, preferably in the food industry or at a Fortune 500 CPG company.
  • Experience working in multinational corporations while utilizing change management skills in a dynamic, fast-paced, innovative environment.
  • Strong strategic thinking and analytical skills, with the ability to translate business goals into effective marketing strategies and analyze data to make data-driven decisions.

Language Skills:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills in English to communicate clearly, accurately, and with impact.

Mathematical Skills:

  • Ability to apply fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
  • Ability to apply mathematical concepts such as probabilities and statistical inference to forecast marketing budgets, costs, and return.

Work Environment:

  • The position is often in a typical office setting.
  • The noise level in the work environment is usually light and moderate.
  • This position requires up to 25% travel; most travel is outside the local area and overnight. Some of the travel may be international.
