Senior Manager, Regulatory Complaints
Location: Nashville, TN
The Senior Manager of Regulatory Complaints will spearhead a team focused on managing regulatory complaints pertinent to Asurion’s operations, ensuring adherence to applicable laws and regulations. This position entails collaboration on the intake of regulatory complaints, conducting research, and drafting responses, while fostering positive relationships with regulatory bodies and partners. The ideal candidate is a proactive leader who supervises the analysis of regulatory complaints and collaborates closely with both internal and external stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Guarantee that Asurion addresses all written customer complaints routed through regulatory agencies in a compelling manner within strict deadlines
- Oversee small claims litigation, including research, proposed resolutions, and settlements for small claim cases nationwide
- Manage team auditing and analytics to ensure objectives are met and monitor trends to mitigate risks
- Collaborate with teams outside of Regulatory (Fraud/Risk, Finance, Accounting, Customer Solutions, Technology) to ensure compliance of individual customer claims and experiences with Asurion’s standards and regulatory framework
- Supervise, mentor, train, and monitor compliance with regulatory agency responses to foster continuous improvement
- Conduct comprehensive and ad-hoc research projects
- Possess a functional understanding of the company’s risk profile and the implications of product decisions on financial performance
- Develop a thorough understanding of Asurion’s operations and processes, providing innovative legal solutions to unique or challenging issues
Job Requirements:
- A minimum of 5+ years of progressively responsible experience in oversight roles within a regulated industry
- Experience in leading a large team with members based in the U.S. and globally
- Experience in communicating with and responding to regulatory agencies such as departments of insurance, attorney generals, the Federal Communications Commission, Better Business Bureau, and similar authorities
- Ability to guide a team on prioritizing tasks and deliverables to ensure timely responses to a diverse range of demands
- Capable of interpreting detailed documents such as insurance policies, coverage certificates, terms and conditions, and effectively communicating key terms to regulators
- Exhibit sound judgment and the ability to devise creative solutions that prioritize customer needs while adhering to a robust regulatory claims framework
- Able to manage multiple matters efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Skilled in identifying areas of risk or opportunity and providing ongoing feedback and coaching aimed at continuous improvement
- Proficient in working collaboratively within a team as well as independently
Asurion’s Transparency Details:
The starting pay for the successful candidate will depend on various job-related factors, including education, training, experience, location, business needs, or market demands. The budgeted starting salary range for this role is $125-135k, with potential for bonuses.
