Position Overview: Senior Manager, Regulatory Complaints

Location: Nashville, TN

The Senior Manager of Regulatory Complaints will oversee a team dedicated to managing regulatory complaints associated with Asurion's operations, ensuring adherence to relevant laws and regulations. This position requires collaboration on the intake of regulatory complaints, conducting research, and drafting responses, while maintaining positive relationships with regulatory bodies and partners. The ideal candidate is a proactive leader who manages regulatory complaint evaluations and collaborates closely with both internal and external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure timely and persuasive responses to all written customer complaints directed through regulatory agencies
  • Manage small claims litigation, including research, proposed resolutions, and settlements across the United States
  • Oversee team audits and analytics to ensure objectives are met and monitor trends to mitigate risks
  • Collaborate with departments outside of Regulatory (Fraud/Risk, Finance, Accounting, Customer Solutions, Technology) to ensure compliance with Asurion's standards and regulatory framework
  • Supervise, mentor, and train team members to enhance compliance with regulatory agency responses
  • Conduct thorough and ad-hoc research projects
  • Understand the company's risk profile and the implications of product decisions on financial performance
  • Develop a comprehensive understanding of Asurion's operations and processes to provide innovative legal solutions for complex challenges

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5+ years of experience in progressively responsible roles within a regulated industry
  • Proven experience leading a large team with members based in the U.S. and globally
  • Experience in communication with regulatory agencies such as departments of insurance, attorney generals, the Federal Communications Commission, Better Business Bureau, and similar authorities
  • Ability to guide a team in prioritizing tasks and deliverables to ensure timely responses to diverse demands
  • Capable of interpreting detailed documents such as insurance policies and terms of service, and effectively communicating key elements to regulators
  • Demonstrated sound judgment and strategic thinking to develop creative solutions that prioritize customer needs while adhering to regulatory frameworks
  • Able to manage multiple projects efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • Skilled in identifying risks and opportunities, providing continuous feedback and coaching for improvement
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team and independently while fostering effective communication

Compensation Transparency:

The starting salary for the successful candidate will be determined based on various job-related factors, including education, training, experience, location, business needs, and market demands. The budgeted starting salary range for this position is $125-135k, with potential for bonuses.
