This job family focuses on programming and configuring end-user applications, systems, databases, and websites to fulfill both internal organizational needs and external business requirements.

Application Development & Maintenance collaborates with business leaders, assesses user needs, and regularly evaluates, maintains, and enhances existing applications.

Strategic Initiatives

Cardinal Health 3PL is undertaking a comprehensive strategy to modernize our U.S. warehouse management solutions alongside an ERP transformation initiative.

With our clients and their customers as the focal point of this strategy, we aim to deliver new WMS capabilities, ensure regulatory compliance, and position the business for future growth.

Role Responsibilities

- Lead all technical and functional aspects of large-scale warehouse management program implementations in a matrixed environment.

- Provide technical oversight for custom products, packaged software, and SaaS applications.

- Offer technical leadership and guidance to a diverse team comprising onshore and offshore resources, including contractors and full-time employees.

- Develop expertise in the Tecsys WM SaaS solution.


- Collaborate with Enterprise Architecture and IT Leadership to select appropriate solution components that align with company standards while fulfilling program requirements.

- Provide technical recommendations for warehouse management build and sustain initiatives.


- Share extensive knowledge to guide infrastructure, SaaS, enterprise alerting and monitoring, software development best practices, DevSecOps, testing automation, and more.

- Design solutions related to warehouse automation and management systems.

- Participate in root cause analysis sessions with support teams.

- Preferred knowledge of ERP & Distribution/Warehouse processes and accounting concepts.

- Strong understanding of 3PL and Pharmaceutical supply chain dynamics.

Qualifications

- Bachelor's or advanced degree in a related field or equivalent work experience preferred.

- 10+ years of experience in a related field preferred.

- Expert knowledge in various technology domains and end-to-end application architectures preferred.

- Experience with the latest Tecsys products and technologies, or comparable WM SaaS solutions preferred.

- Direct experience in implementing large, technically complex WM solutions that integrate with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) is essential.

- Required knowledge and skills in warehouse management (inbound, outbound, inventory management, analytics).

- Experience in integration architecture and patterns, including integration via APIs and services is required.

- Familiarity with the DSCSA serialization industry program, preferably having implemented solutions that integrate with third-party serialization providers.

- Experience in designing and developing APIs and services with a microservices architecture preferred.

- Proficiency in multiple development languages including C, C++, Java, Kotlin, .NET, REST/SOAP APIs, and microservices is preferred.

- Experience with architecture design and deployment using cloud platforms, particularly Google Cloud (preferred), AWS, and familiarity with IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS concepts preferred.

- Experience with Warehouse Automation solutions is a plus.

- Willingness to travel up to 25%.
