Position Summary

The Vice President of Regional Operations will oversee the management of ambulatory surgery centers across designated regions, including Sacramento, Stockton, and Merced, California. This leadership role is crucial for ensuring operational excellence, financial performance, and strategic growth.

Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Business Administration or Healthcare Administration is preferred.
  • A minimum of five years of experience in healthcare business development, operations, finance, or business consulting.
  • Proven track record in formulating and executing growth strategies.
  • Strong people management skills with demonstrated success.
  • Exceptional verbal, written, and formal presentation communication abilities.
  • Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint for analytical and presentation purposes.
  • Ability to effectively communicate financial results and address inquiries from hospital and physician partners.
  • Strong mathematical skills for financial budgeting, reporting, and analysis.

Responsibilities

The Vice President will be responsible for:

  • Overseeing the operations, financial management, and partnership relations of multiple facilities.
  • Driving growth in case volume and EBITDA, including recruitment and retention of surgeons.
  • Collaborating with Development to identify and pursue opportunities for market expansion.
  • Ensuring a robust Culture of Safety and Leadership while maintaining low employee turnover rates.

Strategic Planning

Allocate 20% of time to strategic planning for each facility:

  • Ensure that each Administrator/CEO prepares and executes an annual business plan.
  • Oversee the initial development of plans and ensure quarterly updates at Board meetings.
  • Monitor efforts to increase business from existing clients.
  • Engage with health systems and IPAs to secure appropriate cases at all facilities.

Leadership Development

Allocate 20% of time to leadership development:

  • Provide HR training and financial/reimbursement training.
  • Facilitate communication training with physician and health system partners.
  • Identify and develop new talent, ensuring succession plans are in place for key roles.

Compensation

The salary range for this position is $175,000 - $250,000.
