- Adhere to Bombardier's General Work Requirements (Factory, Shop, and/or Hangar positions)
- Comply with environmental health and safety policies and procedures
- Engage in 5-S activities
- Execute all assigned tasks safely and promptly
- Troubleshoot, repair, inspect, modify, and service aircraft avionics, electrical, and electronic systems
- Document work performed according to relevant manuals and regulations
- Operate ground support equipment as necessary
- Assist with mechanical and electrical removals and installations
- Perform additional duties as assigned
- May assist with maintenance at off-site locations
- Support other maintenance disciplines
What you need to succeed in this position: Skills, knowledge & experience
- Completion of an Avionics or Electrical A/C Technical School or equivalent experience
- Typically 0 – 2 years of avionics work experience or equivalent
- Ability to read and interpret electrical engineering schematics
- Effective communication skills in both written and verbal formats regarding individual and/or aircraft status
- Possession of a basic set of hand tools with the ability to manage and control inventory
- Must obtain necessary Ground Support Equipment Qualifications as required
- Willingness to work unscheduled overtime, including non-scheduled workdays and holidays
- Ability to work outdoors in seasonal and inclement weather
- Capability to obtain a Security Identification Display Area badge (SIDA) if applicable
- Certification may be required by the customer (Commercial Aircraft) such as A Certification, P Certification, or A & P Certificate
- General Radiotelephone Operator License (GROL) or Aircraft Electronics Technician (AET) Certificate
- Experience with corporate or commercial jet aircraft
- Basic computer skills
