Position Overview:
We are currently seeking proficient Avionics Technicians to fulfill the production requirements of our esteemed client, a leading manufacturer of business aircraft located in Windsor Locks, CT. This organization is recognized globally for its innovative designs and commitment to efficiency, ensuring their products are reliable and cost-effective. They have earned 21 consecutive FAA Diamond Awards and actively engage with the local community to promote aviation maintenance awareness and support diversity in the industry.
Key Responsibilities:
- Troubleshoot, repair, inspect, modify, and service aircraft avionics, electrical, and electronic systems.
- Document all work performed in accordance with relevant manuals and regulations.
- Adhere to established General Work Requirements for factory, shop, and hangar roles.
- Comply with environmental health and safety policies.
- Engage in 5-S activities to maintain workplace organization.
- Execute all tasks safely and within designated timeframes.
- Operate ground support equipment as necessary.
- Assist with mechanical and electrical removals and installations.
- Support maintenance efforts at off-site locations as required.
- Collaborate with other maintenance disciplines as needed.
Qualifications:
- Completion of training from an avionics or electrical Aircraft Technical School or equivalent.
- A minimum of 2 years of relevant avionics experience, preferably with corporate aircraft.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical engineering schematics.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills regarding individual and aircraft status.
- Possession of a basic set of hand tools and capability to manage tool inventory.
- Ability to obtain necessary Ground Support Equipment (GSE) qualifications.
- Willingness to work unscheduled overtime, including weekends and holidays.
- Capability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Eligibility to obtain a Security Identification Display Area badge if required.
- Preferred: A Certification, P Certification, or A&P Certificate.
- Preferred: GROL (General Radiotelephone Operator License) or AET (Aircraft Electronics Technician) Certificate.
- Preferred: Experience with corporate jets.
- Basic PC skills are required.
