Position Summary:

The Lead Quality Assurance Systems Manager plays a pivotal role in formulating the quality strategy, policies, processes, standards, and systems for BuildASign and its supply chain. This position is crucial for regulating, controlling, and enhancing the quality of all operational processes and the final products. The individual will lead the quality team to meet the quality management system objectives aligned with customer and business goals, while promoting a culture centered on Quality, Safety, and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with various stakeholders across the organization (Quality, Manufacturing, Engineering, Purchasing, Sales) to ensure the integration of quality processes throughout the product lifecycle.
  • Continuously improve the Quality Management System (QMS) across departments, proposing initiatives to enhance the effectiveness and integration of quality system requirements with business processes.
  • Provide guidance and support through necessary training, tools, and methodologies.
  • Understand customer and stakeholder requirements to develop effective quality control processes.
  • Establish quality targets and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) in line with business growth.
  • Develop incoming inspection processes and collaborate with the supply chain on material specifications, feedback loops, and corrective action plans.
  • Conduct and update both internal and external risk assessments, tracking all findings.
  • Direct, mentor, and develop the quality team.
  • Regularly evaluate test results, perform internal audits, and implement corrective actions to uphold high quality standards.
  • Facilitate communication across production departments and management to ensure coordination.
  • Strive for ongoing improvements, enhancements, efficiencies, and effectiveness.
  • Willingness to travel, both domestically and internationally, to various manufacturing facilities.

Qualifications:

  • Possession of one or more quality certifications from ASQ, SME, or Six Sigma Greenbelt and higher.
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
  • Over 8 years of experience in production operations and quality control.
  • Experience in managing multi-site operations.
  • Supervisory or management experience is required.
  • Must possess or be able to obtain a valid United States passport.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift, carry, and/or move up to 50 lbs. consistently throughout an 8 to 11.5-hour shift.
  • Capability to push/pull up to 50 lbs. continuously during the entire shift.
  • Ability to bend, stoop, and reach repetitively during the shift.
  • Capacity to work in a production environment with varying noise levels and chemical exposure.
  • Ability to manipulate materials with hands and disassemble sample items to ensure proper manufacturing.
