Key Responsibilities:


The Quality Assurance Engineering Manager will be located in Austin, TX, reporting directly to the Senior Quality Engineering Manager.

In this capacity, you will:

  • Design, implement, and oversee a product assurance strategy aimed at identifying and mitigating defects in both new and existing products.
  • Conduct research and analysis on various factors such as market conditions, production capabilities, and design innovations to inform management decisions.
  • Propose and discuss alternative methods and procedures to address challenges and adapt to evolving market demands.
  • Collaborate with senior management to develop and refine company policies, operational procedures, and strategic objectives.
  • Establish and modify the product assurance program to clarify control areas, personnel needs, and operational guidelines.
  • Review reports from product assurance department heads and engage with top management to prepare the fiscal budget for the assurance program.
  • Lead management meetings with department heads to define and assess organizational policies, coordinate departmental functions, and establish procedures to achieve objectives.
  • Engage with clients on technical and quality matters, as well as improvement initiatives.
  • Oversee customer audits and compliance assessments by regulatory agencies.
  • Analyze technical issues and departmental procedures, recommending solutions or procedural changes.
  • Meet with suppliers to gather information regarding material quality, vendor capacity, and adherence to quality standards.
  • Collaborate with engineers to ensure quality assurance for newly designed and manufactured products.
  • Stay updated on industry advancements by reviewing technical literature and publications.

Qualifications:


We are looking for candidates with:

  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in developing, implementing, and maintaining quality systems or a related field.
  • Previous leadership experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience in a regulated medical device setting.
  • Familiarity with ISO13485 and FDA regulations.
