Key Qualifications:

Position Overview:

  • Our client seeks a QA Lead for a contract role with the potential for permanent placement.
  • The selected candidate will be tasked with establishing a formal testing team and a comprehensive automated testing strategy, significantly influencing the quality of major IT projects.
  • The Quality Assurance Manager will collaborate across departments, oversee testing timelines, formulate test plans, create detailed test scripts, and manage the execution of System Integration Testing (SIT) and User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
  • Currently, testing responsibilities are handled by Project Managers and Developers.
  • The organization is facing challenges with a failure rate of 7 out of 35 test scripts, necessitating the development of a robust testing strategy.

Essential Requirements:

  • Candidates must possess at least 6 years of experience leading QA teams of 3-5 members.
  • Previous experience in creating automated testing strategies using tools such as UFT One, Selenium, Katalon, or similar is required.
  • The ideal candidate will engage with IT teams and contribute to the ongoing enhancement of testing methodologies.
  • This role is situated within the IT Program Management Office (PMO).

Additional Qualifications:

  • Over 6 years of experience in QA/Test teams managing multiple complex projects.
  • Familiarity with modern Test Automation software such as UFT One, Katalon, or Tosca.
  • Experience with Agile methodologies including Scrum, Kanban, and Lean/Six Sigma.
  • Proven ability to work with global, hybrid teams and diverse project resources.
  • Comprehensive understanding of contemporary Software Development Life Cycle practices.
  • Proficient in using Atlassian tools and/or MS DevOps.
  • Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • An active ISTQB Foundational Level certification is highly desirable.
  • An ISTQB Advanced or Expert certification is preferred.
  • Proven leadership skills to establish a Quality Assurance team from the ground up.
  • Experience with ERP systems such as SAP S4/HANA, Salesforce Commerce Cloud, or Salesforce Service Cloud is advantageous.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, along with strong presentation abilities.
