Position: SAP FICO Test Lead

Location: Onsite

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate closely with Business Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) related to specific SAP functional areas to gather requirements, including Business Design Documents (BDDs), Functional Design Documents (FDDs), Technical Design Documents (TDDs), and Mapping Documents.
  • Assist in the creation of Test Strategy and Test Plan documentation.
  • Comprehend requirements and translate them into Test Scenarios and Test Cases to support Functional, System Integration, and Regression Testing.
  • Execute Test Scripts and analyze results thoroughly.
  • Ensure comprehensive end-to-end business process testing is conducted for the relevant process areas.
  • Support the preparation of Requirement Traceability Matrix (RTM).
  • Provide necessary information and assistance to the Test Manager during daily status meetings and in the preparation of Daily Status Reports.
  • Proactively identify and communicate any risks or issues to the Test Manager.
  • Create Defects, support defect triage, perform retests as necessary, and facilitate timely closure.
  • Utilize Test Management tools (HP ALM/Jira/ADO) and Automation tools (UFT/Tosca/Worksoft).
  • Coordinate with offshore team members to ensure timely deliverables.

Required Qualifications:

Over 10 years of experience in testing SAP applications, particularly SAP FICO, along with integrations with SD, MM, PP, etc., on both SAP ECC and S/4 HANA platforms.

Strong background in FICO with at least 7-10 years of testing expertise, possessing a complete understanding of end-to-end business process flows and integration points.

Ability to comprehend configuration and ABAP code to identify root causes and assist in resolving bugs and defects.

Capability to configure systems as required.

Experience in reverse engineering.

Familiarity with Test Management tools (HP ALM/Jira/ADO) and Automation tools (UFT/Tosca/Worksoft).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in at least 2-3 projects involving S/4 HANA Testing, including ECC to S/4 HANA migration projects and S/4 HANA implementation projects.
  • Knowledge of the complete Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC) process and experience with various QA deliverables.
  • 3+ years of experience in a Testing Lead role, particularly with ECC migration to S/4 HANA.
  • Experience in offshore/onsite delivery models.
  • Experience collaborating with Project Managers to identify scope and create Test Strategy and Test Plan documents.
  • Experience working with Business SMEs to understand requirements, build Test Scenarios, Test Cases, execute tests, and analyze results.
  • Familiarity with both Waterfall and Agile methodologies.
  • Strong communication skills and experience in client interactions.
  • Preferred certification in SAP or S/4 HANA FICO.
  • Ability to work independently, both onsite and remotely, with a willingness to travel for client engagements as necessary.
