Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate business and technical specifications to ensure completeness, accuracy, and testability.
- Engage with stakeholders to gain insights into system functionalities, workflows, and integration aspects.
- Offer recommendations for system enhancements and optimizations.
- Document system specifications, use cases, and process workflows.
- Support the design and implementation of system modifications and upgrades.
- Collaborate with development and product teams to create user stories, ensuring comprehensive understanding of requirements and business processes.
- Contribute to project planning to meet performance objectives, enhancing technical integration and interoperability of products and services.
- Apply technical standards, principles, theories, concepts, and techniques effectively.
- Work collaboratively with team members at all levels, providing input on deliverables, managing multiple assignments, meeting deadlines, and adapting to evolving client needs.
- Develop and implement thorough test plans, test cases, and procedures to ensure compliance with organizational standards and meet user requirements.
- Create testing schedules, methodologies, and detailed test scripts, identifying relevant data for various test scenarios.
- Conduct reviews of test cases/scripts with Project Managers and Development Leads.
- Document and communicate testing outcomes, supporting the analysis of results and resolution of outstanding issues.
- Tackle complex challenges, document enhancements to existing procedures, and develop models for potential future configurations.
Essential Skills:
- Proficient in testing on database platforms such as Microsoft SQL or Oracle.
- Experience in testing applications developed in languages/platforms including .Net, Java, C#, and HTML.
- Ability to create comprehensive test cases and scripts.
- Skilled in interpreting functional and technical specifications.
- Expertise in identifying and resolving defects.
- Experience in preparing and executing user acceptance testing (UAT).
- Ability to define and document software requirements effectively.
- Demonstrated strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Familiarity with Jira for project management.
- Thorough understanding of Agile methodologies and the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
- Proficient in using Excel and SharePoint.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, or 7 years of equivalent experience.
- Capability to obtain a VA Position of Public Trust – Medium Background Investigation (MBI).
