Job Overview

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and resolve customer quality concerns effectively.
  • Establish and enforce production part qualification criteria based on comprehensive understanding of customer quality specifications.
  • Collaborate with the Site Quality Head and operational teams to align on customer requirements.
  • Lead customer audits, ensuring timely scheduling, execution, and resolution of audit findings.
  • Act as the primary liaison for customer compliance, product quality, and process quality issues, working closely with Manufacturing, Engineering, Purchasing, Supply Chain, Sales, and Operations.
  • Develop and maintain Customer Quality Scorecards.
  • Conduct technical audits and ensure completion of action plans related to customer quality management systems.
  • Address customer-reported defects, managing 8D problem-solving processes to meet cycle-time objectives.
  • Communicate effectively with customers regarding material recalls and quality issues.
  • Drive root cause analysis for quality escapes impacting customer satisfaction.
  • Create presentations and action plans tailored to customer communication needs.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the Site Quality Head.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Proficient in preventive quality methodologies, compliance, statistical analysis, critical thinking, and structured problem-solving techniques.
  • Experience in managing customer quality issues and establishing quality control processes for production lines.
  • Familiarity with regulatory compliance and experience in conducting product, process, and system audits.
  • Strong communication, leadership, and management capabilities.

Educational Background:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical field is required; a background in Mechanical Engineering is advantageous.
  • ISO 9001 auditor certification is preferred.

Professional Experience:

  • 5-10 years of experience in functional management, compliance engineering, operations, quality, or reliability.
  • Proven experience with quality and manufacturing systems, business process improvement methodologies, and problem-solving techniques.
  • Familiarity with ISO 9001 standards is essential.
  • Experience in managing critical communications with customers.
  • Knowledge of Lean, 6S, and zero-defect manufacturing practices, as well as inspection methods and tools.

  • This position is primarily office-based.
