Job Overview

Our commitment to innovation and excellence drives us to seek a Customer Quality Engineer who will be instrumental in managing quality assurance processes and customer relationships.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and resolve customer quality concerns effectively.
  • Establish and enforce production part qualification standards based on comprehensive customer quality requirements.
  • Collaborate with the Site Quality Head and operations teams to ensure alignment with customer expectations.
  • Manage customer audits, including scheduling, leading, and ensuring the completion of all audit-related actions.
  • Act as the primary contact for customer compliance, product quality, and process quality issues, partnering with various internal teams.
  • Develop and maintain Customer Quality Scorecards.
  • Conduct customer QMS and technical audits, ensuring timely action plan execution.
  • Address customer-reported defects, managing 8D processes and adhering to cycle-time metrics.
  • Communicate effectively with customers regarding material recalls and other quality-related issues.
  • Lead problem-solving initiatives (8D) for quality escapes impacting customers.
  • Create presentations and action plans tailored to meet both customer and company communication needs.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the Site Quality Head.

Qualifications:

  • Proven expertise in preventive quality methodologies, statistical analysis, critical thinking, and structured problem-solving.
  • Experience in managing customer quality issues and establishing quality control processes for manufacturing.
  • Familiarity with regulatory compliance and experience in conducting product, process, and system audits.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and management capabilities.

Educational Background:

  • A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related technical field is required; a background in Mechanical Engineering is advantageous.
  • ISO 9001 auditor certification is preferred.

Experience:

  • 5-10 years of experience in functional management, compliance engineering, operations, quality, or reliability.
  • Background in quality and manufacturing systems, business process improvement, and problem-solving methodologies.
  • Familiarity with ISO 9001 standards is essential.
  • Experience in managing critical communications with customers.
  • Knowledge of Lean principles, 6S methodologies, and zero-defect manufacturing processes.

Work Environment:

  • Primarily conducted in a standard office setting.
