Job Title: HR Manager

Reporting to the SAIS Human Resources Director, we are seeking a seasoned HR Manager to join our team. As a key member of the SAIS HR leadership team, you will be responsible for providing strategic guidance and support to divisional and departmental leaders and administrators. Your expertise will be instrumental in driving efficiency and best practices across all departments in SAIS.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with the HRD to develop and implement HR strategies and initiatives that align with SAIS goals and objectives.
  • Provide guidance and support to departmental leaders and administrators on HR-related matters, including recruitment, compensation, benefits, and employee relations.
  • Develop and maintain HR policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local laws and regulations.
  • Manage and analyze HR data, including turnover, engagement, and salary equity, to inform decision-making and drive business outcomes.
  • Lead HRIS audit projects and process for correcting data, ensuring accuracy and integrity of HR systems.
  • Develop and deliver training programs and materials to support employee development and engagement.
  • Partner with SAIS Finance to manage compensation and benefits programs, ensuring alignment with university-wide policies and procedures.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Five years of progressively responsible human resources management experience, including employee relations experience, preferably in a university setting.
  • Expert knowledge of SAP HR people processing and payroll functions.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience working in an academic setting, preferably within Johns Hopkins University.
  • Lean Six Sigma Green or Black Belt Certification.
