About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Executive Director of Baseball Operations to join our team at AEG. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day business operations of our baseball franchise.

Key Responsibilities
  • Revenue Generation and Sales Growth: Develop and implement strategies to drive revenue growth and sales expansion, including corporate sponsorships, advanced group sales, season memberships, renewals, and other revenue streams.
  • Operational Systems and Technology: Develop, procure, and select all operational systems that support the business, including ticketing systems, customer database systems, IT needs, office operational needs, and overall ballpark operational needs.
  • Stakeholder Relationships and Community Engagement: Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders in the community to ensure the long-term success of the team.
  • Leadership and Management: Lead and manage a team of staff, including recruiting, hiring, training, and developing junior-level team players.
  • Financial Management: Develop, forecast, and oversee the annual operations budget and capital projects to ensure the facility operates efficiently and within budget.
  • Sponsorship and Revenue Management: Identify, maintain, and generate new sponsorship revenues to support the team.
  • Customer Experience and Service: Ensure a premier customer experience through effective management of food and beverage vendors, merchandising strategies, and sales related to stadium events and rentals.
  • Community Outreach and Engagement: Create and maintain a presence in the community through speaking engagements, attending social/business functions, and engaging relationships with key political and business leaders.
  • Media Relations and Communications: Act as a spokesperson for the team and stadium with the press and the public.
  • Facility Management and Coordination: Manage the lease relationship with the City, including long-term capital improvements and facility coordination/usage.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree in a related field required, or equivalent experience. 5-7 years of experience as a strong Assistant General Manager or General Manager with a proven track record of management and sales success.
  • Skills and Qualifications: Proven track record in sales and management, with a strong background in ballpark operations. Superior communication skills, strong sales instincts, and the ability to learn from others. Solid organizational and time management skills, with the ability to work long hours, including weekends and holidays as necessary.
  • Physical Demands and Working Environment: Required to work long hours standing and walking around. Sitting, standing, walking, reaching with arms and hands, climbing, balancing, stooping, bending, lifting, pushing, pulling, kneeling, or crouching are all part of the position. Must be able to handle weather-related elements such as rain and heat.
