About the Role

The Association of Fundraising Professionals - Northern New England Chapter (AFP-NNE) seeks a seasoned nonprofit executive to drive the growth and success of our organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive strategic plan to enhance our organizational capacity and financial sustainability.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including donors, foundations, and government funding sources.
  • Oversee fundraising efforts to support ongoing operations, special projects, and initiatives.
  • Facilitate organizational branding and community engagement.
  • Lead the development of innovative pathways for growth and expansion.
Requirements
  • Minimum of five years of executive or management experience in a nonprofit environment or other mission-driven organizations.
  • Demonstrated experience with successful fundraising and working with donors, foundations, sponsors, and government funding sources.
  • Strategic planning skills and ability to work effectively with a board and staff.
  • Pragmatic and successful experience as an administrator and project manager.
  • Emotional intelligence and people-oriented leadership skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Knowledge and appreciation of American art, historic artists' homes and studios, and the National Park Service.
  • Experience in nonprofit management, museum studies, historic preservation, education, or another relevant field.
Compensation

The salary range is $90,000 – $100,000 commensurate with experience, plus benefits including contributions to health insurance and retirement.
