Key Responsibilities- Oversight of Building Operations: Ensure that all buildings and grounds are well-maintained and in good working order.
- Management of Facilities Department Staff: Direct and manage the Facilities Department staff to ensure that all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
- Oversight of Housekeeping Personnel: Supervise and manage the housekeeping personnel to ensure that all areas are clean and well-maintained.
- Facilities Management: Develop and implement strategies to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of our facilities management operations.
- Budget Management: Develop and manage the Facilities budget to ensure that all expenses are properly accounted for and that we are operating within our means.
- Construction Projects: Oversee the planning, execution, and completion of all construction projects to ensure that they are completed on time and within budget.
- Vendor Management: Evaluate and select vendors for maintenance contracts and supplies to ensure that we are getting the best value for our money.
- Contract Management: Review and negotiate contracts with vendors and suppliers to ensure that we are getting the best terms and conditions.
- Collaboration with Architects and Engineers: Work with architects and engineers to design and implement new facilities and renovations to ensure that they meet our needs and are completed on time and within budget.
- Energy Management: Develop and implement strategies to reduce energy consumption and costs.
- Compliance and Regulatory Affairs: Ensure that all facilities are in compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and standards.
- Education: High school degree or equivalent required; college degree in facilities management or a related field preferred.
- Experience: Proven experience as a facilities manager or in a related field required.
- Skills: Well-versed in technical and engineering operations and facilities management best practices; ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently; excellent attention to detail and communication skills.
