Position Title: Culinary Operations Supervisor

Location: Denton

Minimum Qualifications: An Associate's Degree in a relevant field coupled with two years of experience in culinary management; or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • In-depth understanding of culinary techniques and food service management within a large-scale operation.
  • Awareness of employee health standards, kitchen hygiene, and sanitation protocols.
  • Proficiency in identifying potential hazards related to food safety and preservation.
  • Expertise in kitchen equipment and advanced culinary procedures.
  • Capability to train, supervise, and assess the performance of team members.
  • Ability to maintain accurate records of time and financial transactions.
  • Knowledge of safety and security measures relevant to culinary operations.
  • Commitment to adhering to established service and production standards.
  • Proficient in recognizing when to seek assistance.

Preferred Qualifications:

Physical Requirements: The role involves various physical activities including lifting (up to 25 pounds), standing, walking, and maintaining cleanliness in the work environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain perfect attendance and punctuality.
  • Adhere to grooming standards and uniform requirements consistently.
  • Ensure quality control by tasting and monitoring food items throughout service.
  • Guarantee compliance with food safety guidelines and procedures.
  • Effectively manage the use of leftovers to create appealing new dishes.
  • Conduct daily meetings with culinary staff to ensure consistency and quality.
  • Provide training and support to new and existing team members.
  • Foster a positive work environment through effective communication and teamwork.
  • Demonstrate a proactive approach in addressing customer and team needs.
  • Maintain discretion regarding sensitive information related to culinary operations.
