Position Overview

As a Culinary Service Associate, you will report directly to the Food Service Director, Executive Chef, Production Manager, or Shift Supervisor.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in various food preparation tasks, including the assembly of cold dishes, washing, peeling, and cutting ingredients, as well as mixing salad components and brewing beverages.
  • Notify supervisors regarding equipment issues and inventory shortages.
  • Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of work areas, utensils, and dining spaces.
  • Transport food supplies and equipment between storage and work areas; organize cupboards and refrigerators; manage salad bars and buffet setups.
  • Support cooks and kitchen staff during meal service and assist with various kitchen tasks as needed.
  • Receive and properly store food supplies and kitchen equipment.
  • Monitor and document food temperatures and storage conditions.
  • Uphold a professional appearance and maintain confidentiality of sensitive information while safeguarding company assets.
  • Adhere to quality standards and HACCP guidelines.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will be dependable, reliable, and capable of performing physical tasks that involve lifting, balancing, walking, and handling materials. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment are essential. Basic math and reading skills, along with some computer proficiency, are required.
