North Central Surgical Center is a 14-operating room, 30-medical/surgical patient room facility that has been serving the community since 2005. We are a surgical-focused hospital that performs over 12,000 procedures per year, specializing in Orthopedics, Spine, General Surgery, Pain Management, Urology, GI/Endoscopy, Plastic, and Podiatry surgeries.

Job Summary

The Regional Laboratory Director will provide leadership and direction to the laboratory team, ensuring compliance with all CLIA and Joint Commission requirements. This role will analyze data, develop reports, and coordinate with medical directors to ensure high-quality laboratory services.

Responsibilities
  • Supervise laboratory staff, including lab supervisors, medical technologists, lab technicians, lab assistants, and phlebotomists.
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Analyze data and develop reports for medical director review and approval.
  • Collaborate with other department heads to ensure seamless laboratory operations.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in medical technology or a related field.
  • Master's degree preferred.
  • Certification by one of the following accrediting agencies: MLS(ASCP), HTL(ASCP), CT(ASCP), MT(HEW), MLS(AMT), or CLS(NCA).
  • A minimum of 3 years' experience in an accredited laboratory.
  • Experience with point-of-care testing.
  • Knowledge of governmental and regulatory policies/standards.
  • Basic computer skills.
