Lab Director

North Central Surgical Center, a highly successful Baylor Scott & White affiliated hospital in Dallas, TX, is seeking a skilled Lab Director Regional to join our team.
We are a surgical-focused hospital that performs over 12,000 procedures per year, with a strong commitment to quality and patient care. Our laboratory team plays a critical role in ensuring accurate and timely test results, and we are looking for a leader who can help us achieve our goals.
The successful candidate will have a strong background in laboratory management, with experience in developing policies and procedures, analyzing data, and coordinating reports. They will also have excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to work effectively with our medical staff and other department heads.
Responsibilities will include:
- Developing and implementing laboratory policies and procedures to ensure compliance with CLIA and Joint Commission requirements
- Analyzing data and coordinating the development of reports for medical director review and approval
- Supervising laboratory staff, including lab supervisors, medical technologists, lab technicians, lab assistants, and phlebotomists
- Collaborating with our medical staff and other department heads to ensure seamless communication and coordination
Requirements for the position include:
- Bachelor's degree in medical technology or a related field
- Certification by one of the following accrediting agencies: MLS(ASCP), HTL(ASCP), CT (ASCP), MT(HEW), MLS(AMT), or CLS(NCA)
- At least 3 years of experience in an accredited laboratory, with experience in point-of-care testing and knowledge of governmental and regulating policies/standards
