Job Title: Laboratory Director - Regional

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Laboratory Director to join our team at North Central Surgical Center in Dallas, TX.

About the Role:

The Laboratory Director will be responsible for providing leadership and direction to the laboratory team, ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements, and developing policies and procedures to maintain high-quality laboratory services.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise laboratory staff, including lab supervisors, medical technologists, lab technicians, lab assistants, and phlebotomists.
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure compliance with CLIA and Joint Commission requirements.
  • Coordinate the development of reports for medical director review and approval.
  • Collaborate with the CNO, medical director of lab services, physicians, and other department heads to ensure seamless laboratory operations.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in medical technology or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
  • Certification by one of the following accrediting agencies: MLS(ASCP), HTL(ASCP), CT(ASCP), MT(HEW), MLS(AMT), or CLS(NCA).
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in an accredited laboratory, with experience in point-of-care testing and knowledge of governmental and regulating policies/standards.
