Regional Manager

University Partners is seeking an experienced Regional Manager to lead our student housing portfolio. This role is based in Dallas, TX.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee operating results for select student housing properties within the portfolio.
  • Provide leadership to Community Managers and ensure compliance with all legal requirements, internal policies, and procedures.
  • Deliver budgeted revenue growth and maintain expenses in line with operating and capital budgets.
  • Develop community managers through feedback and opportunities for growth.
  • Work with Director of Operations to implement corporate directives and policies.
  • Provide management guidance on leasing and marketing, and conduct bi-weekly meetings to strategize and recommend changes.
  • Stay current with market conditions and trends through research and analysis.
  • Support Community Managers on operational and personnel issues.
  • Review monthly budget variance reports and address issues that escalate to management.
  • Approve invoices, vendor bids, and contracts over $1, and recommend large expense items from the repair and maintenance budget.
  • Coordinate capital expenditures with Director of Operations.
  • Visit properties regularly for inspections and meet with universities and market competitors.
  • Monitor maintenance operations to ensure efficient and effective customer service, curb appeal, and budget decisions.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university or equivalent professional knowledge and/or work experience.
  • Minimum of 2 years as a Regional Manager and 5 to 10 years of prior professional experience in community management within a student housing environment.
  • Intermediate skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook, and Power Point.
  • Keyboarding skills required.

Working Conditions:
Consistent day and overnight travel required for this position. Frequent extended travel (3+ nights) required. Nighttime and weekend accessibility required due to travel schedule and projects.
