Job Opportunity: Regional Laboratory Director

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Regional Laboratory Director to join our team at North Central Surgical Center.

Responsibilities

The Regional Laboratory Director will be responsible for:

  • Providing expertise on laboratory testing and developing policies and procedures to ensure compliance with CLIA and Joint Commission requirements.
  • Analyzing data and coordinating the development of reports for medical director review and approval.
Organizational Relationships

The Regional Laboratory Director will:

  • Supervise Lab supervisor, medical technologists, lab technicians, lab assistants, and phlebotomists.
  • Interact with CNO, medical director of lab services, physicians, and other department heads.
Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must have:

  • A Bachelor's degree in medical technology or a related field from an accredited college or university.
  • Certification by one of the following accrediting agencies: MLS(ASCP), HTL(ASCP), CT (ASCP), MT(HEW), MLS(AMT), or CLS(NCA).
  • A minimum of 3 years' experience in an accredited laboratory.
  • Experience with point-of-care testing.
  • Knowledge of governmental and regulating policies/standards.
  • Basic computer skills.
