Lab Director

North Central Surgical Center, a Baylor Scott & White affiliated hospital, is seeking a highly skilled Lab Director to join our team. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for overseeing the laboratory operations, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and providing expert guidance to our medical staff.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure compliance with CLIA and Joint Commission requirements.
- Supervise laboratory staff, including lab supervisors, medical technologists, lab technicians, and phlebotomists.
- Collaborate with the medical director of lab services, physicians, and other department heads to ensure seamless laboratory operations.
- Analyze data and coordinate the development of reports for medical director review and approval.
- Bachelor's degree in medical technology or a related field; master's degree preferred.
- Certification by a recognized accrediting agency, such as MLS(ASCP) or HTL(ASCP).
- Minimum 3 years' experience in an accredited laboratory, with experience in point-of-care testing and knowledge of governmental and regulating policies/standards.
- Basic computer skills and ability to detect color and color changes.
