Lab Director Regional Job Opportunity

North Central Surgical Center, a highly successful Baylor Scott & White affiliated hospital in Dallas, TX, is seeking a skilled Lab Director Regional to join our team.

About North Central Surgical Center

We are a surgical-focused hospital that performs over 12,000 procedures per year, with 14 Operating Rooms and 30 Medical/Surgical Patient Rooms. Our specialties include Orthopedics, Spine, General Surgery, Pain Management, Urology, GI/Endoscopy, Plastic, and Podiatry surgeries.

Job Summary

The Lab Director Regional will provide knowledge and expertise regarding laboratory testing, develop policies and procedures to comply with CLIA and Joint Commission requirements, and analyze data to coordinate report development for medical director review and approval.

Responsibilities
  • Supervise lab staff, including lab supervisors, medical technologists, lab technicians, lab assistants, and phlebotomists.
  • Develop and implement laboratory policies and procedures.
  • Analyze data and coordinate report development for medical director review and approval.
  • Ensure compliance with CLIA and Joint Commission requirements.
Requirements

Education/License:

  • Bachelor's degree in medical technology or a related field from an accredited college or university.
  • Certification by one of the following accrediting agencies: MLS(ASCP), HTL(ASCP), CT (ASCP), MT(HEW), MLS(AMT), or CLS(NCA).

Experience:

  • A minimum of 3 years' experience in an accredited laboratory.
  • Experience with point-of-care testing.
  • Knowledge of governmental and regulating policies/standards.
  • Basic computer skills.
