Job Overview

Position Title: Account Manager

Role Summary: Responsible for maximizing sales effectiveness, fostering growth, and enhancing account engagement within a designated market segment by proficiently promoting the company's offerings and associated services.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Builds, nurtures, and sustains professional relationships with both existing and potential clients within the specified market to drive new business opportunities.
  • Conducts outreach through phone calls and face-to-face meetings to engage with current and prospective clients.
  • Identifies potential clients and gathers information to assess their needs and opportunities.
  • Creates clear and compelling written proposals and quotations for clients.
  • Facilitates the resolution of client inquiries and issues promptly.
  • Collaborates with marketing, sales management, finance, logistics, and technical support teams to streamline sales efforts.
  • Evaluates the market's potential and assesses the value of current and prospective clients to the organization.
  • Develops and maintains a customer value plan for existing clients, emphasizing profile, share, and value opportunities.
  • Identifies competitive advantages and differentiates the organization’s offerings.
  • Strategizes personal sales approach to optimize time investment within the market segment.
  • Provides management with regular updates on client needs, challenges, interests, competitive landscape, and potential for new offerings.
  • Stays informed about product applications, market conditions, competitive actions, and promotional trends through relevant literature and collaboration with marketing and technical teams.
  • Participates in industry events, trade shows, and promotional activities.

Qualifications:
To excel in this role, candidates must meet the following criteria:
  • Education and Experience: An associate's degree from a recognized institution and five to seven years of sales experience in an industrial context, or a comparable combination of education and experience.
  • Analytical Skills: Ability to address practical challenges and navigate various concrete variables in situations with limited standardization.
  • Mathematical Proficiency: Competence in calculating figures and amounts such as discounts, commissions, and percentages.
  • Communication Skills: Proficient in reading and interpreting documents, writing routine reports, and effectively communicating with groups.
  • Technical Skills: Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications and the ability to navigate relevant software systems.

Additional Skills:
Experience in Fluid Power is preferred.

Other Requirements: A valid driver's license is necessary. Willingness to travel frequently, including overnight stays, is essential.
