Job Overview

Position Title: Account Manager
Company: MRA Recruiting Services

Objective: To maximize sales profitability, growth, and account engagement within a designated market segment by effectively promoting the organization's products and services.


Key Responsibilities: The primary responsibilities of this role include the following (additional tasks may be assigned):

  • Builds, nurtures, and sustains professional relationships with both existing and potential clients within the assigned market to drive new business opportunities.
  • Conducts outreach through phone calls and face-to-face meetings to engage with current and prospective clients.
  • Identifies sources for potential clients and gathers relevant information to assess their potential.
  • Crafts clear and compelling written proposals and quotations for clients.
  • Facilitates the resolution of client issues and concerns promptly.
  • Collaborates with marketing, sales management, finance, logistics, and technical service teams to coordinate sales efforts.
  • Evaluates the market's potential and assesses the value of current and prospective clients to the organization.
  • Develops and manages a customer value plan for existing clients, emphasizing profile, share, and value opportunities.
  • Recognizes competitive advantages and compares the organization's offerings.
  • Designs and implements a personal sales strategy to optimize the Return on Time Investment for the market segment.
  • Provides management with both verbal and written reports regarding client needs, challenges, interests, competitive activities, and opportunities for new products and services.
  • Stays informed about product applications, technical services, market trends, competitive activities, and promotional strategies through continuous learning and collaboration with marketing and technical teams.
  • Participates in industry events, trade shows, and promotional activities.

Qualifications:

  • Education and Experience: An associate's degree from a two-year college or technical school, coupled with five to seven years of sales experience in an industrial setting, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Analytical Skills: Ability to solve practical problems and navigate various concrete variables in situations with limited standardization. Capability to interpret diverse instructions in written, oral, and diagrammatic forms.
  • Mathematical Proficiency: Competence in calculating figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, and percentages.
  • Communication Skills: Proficient in reading and interpreting documents such as safety regulations, operational instructions, and procedural manuals. Ability to compose routine reports and correspondence and to communicate effectively before groups of clients or employees.
  • Technical Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and capable of navigating the Epicor Profit 21 system.

Additional Skills and Qualifications:
Experience in Fluid Power is preferred.

Other Requirements: A valid driver's license is necessary. Willingness to travel extensively, including overnight stays, is required.
