Position Overview:

The Senior Lean Process Engineer will play a pivotal role in advancing our lean transformation initiatives. This position is focused on fostering a culture of continuous improvement by employing various lean methodologies to achieve superior manufacturing performance. Your background in lean manufacturing and operational excellence will be instrumental in this journey.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and facilitate lean manufacturing initiatives through ongoing Kaizen events and workshops.
  • Utilize lean tools to minimize waste, enhance processes, and decrease product variability.
  • Act as an internal advocate for Lean methodologies, aligning them with the business strategy.
  • Ensure completion of action items resulting from Kaizen events, workshops, and improvement projects.
  • Develop a pipeline of Kaizen initiatives and projects to maintain momentum in positive change.
  • Provide training and mentorship in Lean principles, process knowledge, and management techniques.
  • Lead problem-solving sessions utilizing appropriate tools to achieve sustainable outcomes.
  • Monitor and track progress towards key performance indicators (KPIs), consolidating metrics and activities.
  • Assist operations in the development and management of Standard Work Instructions.
  • Create metrics and dashboards to engage the entire operations team in understanding and improving KPIs.
  • Employ improvement tools such as A-3 reports, Ishikawa diagrams, and Visual Management Boards.
  • Facilitate advanced improvement events, including Value Stream Mapping of intricate value streams.
  • Drive the program towards world-class standards through innovation and benchmarking.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, Industrial, or related fields) or equivalent experience.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in leading and managing Lean Manufacturing initiatives.
  • Lean Six Sigma Green or Black Belt certification is advantageous.
  • Proven experience with tools such as Six Sigma, Toyota Production System, and Lean process improvement techniques.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience in designing and executing manufacturing improvement projects.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Lean methodologies and their application.
  • Ability to analyze data and develop actionable improvement strategies.
  • Effective presentation and communication skills.
  • Strong team collaboration skills and the ability to facilitate team-driven initiatives.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and project management tools.
