Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and Drive Lean Manufacturing: Facilitate continuous Kaizen and workshop activities to drive lean manufacturing and improve processes.
  • Apply Lean Tools: Utilize lean tools to eliminate waste, improve processes, and reduce product variation.
  • Internal Change Agent: Serve as an internal change agent to institutionalize Lean methodology and support the business strategy plan.
  • Action Item Completion: Hold responsibility to complete and finish action items derived from Kaizens, workshops, and projects.
  • Project Management: Develop a Kaizen and projects funnel to keep momentum on positive change.
  • Training and Coaching: Provide training and coaching in Lean production, process knowledge, and management tools.
  • Problem-Solving: Lead and support problem-solving sessions using the appropriate tools for sustainable results.
  • Performance Metrics: Track and monitor for sustainment and progress toward KPI performance, consolidating performance metrics, projects, and activities.
  • Standard Work Instructions: Support operations in the creation and management of Standard Work Instructions.
  • Metric Development: Develop metrics and dashboard measures designed to include the entire operations population in both understanding key performance indicators and necessary actions to improve KPIs.
  • Improvement Tools: Utilize improvement tools including A-3's, Ishikawa diagrams, Visual Management Boards, Daily Management activities.
  • Advanced Improvement Events: Facilitate advanced improvement events including Value Stream Mapping of complex value streams.
  • Program Enhancement: Enhance the program to world-class levels through innovation and benchmarking, driving business unit and site self-sufficiency.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree: Bachelor's Degree in any Engineering Discipline (Mechanical, Science, Technology, Electrical, Chemical, or Industrial Engineering). Note: Will consider 5 years' experience in lieu of degree.
  • Lean Experience: Minimum 2 years' experience facilitating and managing Lean Manufacturing programs.
  • Certifications: Lean Six Sigma Green or Black Belt certified a plus.
  • Tools and Skills: Demonstrated experience in some tools such as Six Sigma, Toyota Production System, & Lean process improvement tools.
  • Analytical Thinking: Demonstrated Analytical Thinking skills.
  • Manufacturing Improvement: Designing and facilitating Manufacturing improvement projects.
  • Lean Methodologies: Strong knowledge of Lean Methodologies and how to apply them.
  • Data Analysis: Ability to compile data, analyze data, and formulate improvement initiatives.
  • Presentation Skills: Ability to prepare and deliver effective presentations.
  • Team Building: Strong team building skills and the ability to facilitate team-based initiatives.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, business process improvement knowledge.
  • Training Ability: Ability to train others.
  • Project Management: Intermediate project management skills.
