Job Title: Total Rewards Analyst

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Total Rewards Analyst to join our team at Amalgamated Bank of NY. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing support for the Total Rewards function, including competitive compensation analysis, modeling, research of competitive compensation practices, and other analysis as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Compensation Analysis: Participate in and analyze salary survey data to ensure current pay practices are market competitive and support pay equity.
  2. Annual Compensation Planning: Provide support for the annual compensation planning processes, including salary structure update, merit increases, annual incentive and equity awards.
  3. Compensation Communication: Create and support development of compensation communication and training materials.
  4. Reporting and Analytics: Develop reports, dashboards, and metrics to identify key trends and develop recommendations for improvements to compensation programs where appropriate.
  5. Job Evaluations and Market Pricing: Partner with HR business leaders and Talent Acquisition team to conduct job evaluations and market pricing on an on-going basis and consult regarding incumbent and new hire pay decisions.
  6. Long-Term RSU and PSU Administration: Administer Long-Term RSU and PSU awards for all employees & Directors.
  7. M&A-Related Compensation Program Transition: Provide support for M&A-related compensation program transition.
  8. Executive Compensation: Support administration of Executive Compensation programs.
  9. Board of Director Pay: Administer Board of Director Pay.
  10. Benefits Administration: Coordinate Annual Benefits Renewal Process and Open Enrollment. Support implementation of new Benefit plan vendors.
  11. 401K Committee and Quarterly Meetings: Participate in 401K Committee and Quarterly Meetings. Support administration and communication of plan changes.
  12. 401K Plan Audit and Filing: Coordinate annual 401K Plan Audit and Filing of 5500 documents.
  13. Ad Hoc Requests: Respond to ad hoc requests from internal Audit, external auditors, SOX, Risk Team and other internal stakeholders.
  14. Risk Review and Audit: Participate in risk review and audit process by preparing and presenting accurate documentation.
  15. Other Projects: Participate in other projects as assigned.

Requirements:

  1. Education: Bachelor's degree in HR, Business Administration, Finance, or related field or equivalent experience.
  2. Experience: 3-5 years of experience in Compensation & Benefits.
  3. Certifications: Professional Human Resources or Compensation certification a plus (SHRM-SCP, SHRM-CP, SPHR, PHR, CCP, CBP, etc.).
  4. Industry-Standard Tools: Working knowledge of industry-standard tools including survey platforms (Aon McLagan, Mercer, Willis Towers Watson, etc.).
  5. Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills to effectively communicate complex information.
  6. Problem-Solving Skills: Advanced problem-solving skills with the ability to think analytically, creatively and strategically.
  7. Quantitative Analysis: Demonstrated ability to perform thorough, quantitative, and qualitative analyses using applicable technology tools.
  8. Project Management: Demonstrated ability to project manage cross-functional initiatives that deliver results, using collaboration and influencing skills.
  9. Compensation Principles: In-depth knowledge of compensation principles, market trends, and regulatory requirements and ability to communicate those to key stakeholders.
  10. Confidentiality: Ability to maintain confidentiality and a professional demeanor in a dynamic work environment that often requires management of multiple priorities.
  11. Technical Skills: Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills. Strong PC skills (Excel, Word), PowerPoint) proficiency required.

Salary Range: The starting base salary for this role is between $75,000.00 – $85,000.00 per year, depending on many factors, such as training, transferrable skills, work experience, business needs and market demands.
