Job Summary

The Salvation Army USA Southern Territory is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Donor Services Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our Resource Development department, you will be responsible for providing administrative support, maintaining databases, and conducting research to support our fundraising efforts.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide administrative support to the Divisional Director of Resource Development, including maintaining databases, preparing presentations, and conducting research.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of donor information, including contact details, donation history, and communication preferences.
  • Conduct research to identify new grant opportunities and potential donors, and provide recommendations to the Resource Development team.
  • Assist in the preparation of grant proposals, reports, and other materials as needed.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to donors, stakeholders, and internal teams, responding to inquiries and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Collaborate with the Resource Development team to develop and implement strategies to increase donor engagement and retention.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support the Resource Development department and The Salvation Army USA Southern Territory.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree and three years of progressively responsible experience in a related field, or five years of experience in a related field, or any equivalent combination of training and experience.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
