Human Resources Strategic Partner

Location: Hybrid role based out of the University of Maryland Medical Center.

Role SummaryAs a key member of the leadership team for designated client groups, you will collaborate with stakeholders to design and implement impactful human resource initiatives that promote a positive workplace culture. You will play an integral role in shaping and executing tailored business strategies while supporting departmental objectives through effective collaboration with HR specialists.
Key Responsibilities- Formulate and implement HR strategies aligned with business goals for designated areas, ensuring the delivery of valuable and effective human resource services.
- Provide consulting support to foster a performance-driven culture, addressing performance management and leadership development.
- Serve as the primary resource for leadership and employees on a variety of HR matters, including performance management, workforce engagement, and compliance with employment laws.
- Identify opportunities for workforce engagement improvements and develop actionable plans to enhance the work environment.
- Lead the design and execution of special HR projects and initiatives, focusing on organizational development and change management.
- Contribute to maintaining a positive work environment and manage employee relations matters as required.
- Facilitate employee grievances and participate in administrative HR functions as needed.
- Support recruitment and other HR responsibilities as necessary during transitions.
Education and Experience:
- A minimum of three years of progressive experience in Human Resources, particularly in employee and labor relations within healthcare or similar sectors.
- A Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, or a related field is required; a Master’s degree and professional HR certification (PHR or SPHR) are preferred.
- Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills, with a proven ability to manage multiple projects independently.
- Strong relationship-building and consulting abilities, adept at navigating complex organizational dynamics.
- Effective negotiation and facilitation skills, with a collaborative approach to problem-solving.
- Creative and innovative mindset, capable of adapting to change and communicating effectively across all levels of the organization.
