About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Building Operations Manager to join our team at CBRE. As a key member of our facilities operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our buildings and industrial systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform Preventive Maintenance and Repairs: Conduct regular inspections and perform preventive maintenance and corrective repairs of buildings, industrial systems, vehicles, equipment, and grounds.
  • Monitor Building System Operations: Work under limited supervision to monitor building system operations and performance, ensuring that all systems are functioning within design capabilities and achieving environmental conditions prescribed by clients.
  • Apply Trade Skills: Apply several trade skills, including carpentry, plumbing, electrical, painting, roofing, heating, and cooling, to perform contracted work, including landscaping, snow removal, remodeling, HVAC, plumbing, and cleaning.
  • Review and Complete Work Orders: Review assigned work orders, estimate time and materials needed to complete repairs, order materials and supplies, and complete tasks efficiently.
  • Maintain Energy Management Program: Develop and implement an energy management program to ensure that all systems are operated in the most efficient manner, minimizing operating costs and maintaining the building lighting system, including element and ballast repairs or replacements.
Requirements:
  • Education and Experience: High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and a minimum of four years of related experience and/or trade school training.
  • Certifications and Licenses: Universal CFC certification preferred, additional certification in one or more of the following: electrical, mechanical, HVAC and refrigeration systems, process controls, mechanical power transmissions, painting, plumbing, carpentry, or engine repair.
  • Physical Requirements: Ability to comprehend and interpret instructions and memos, ask clarifying questions, and efficiently present information to internal departments and/or large groups of employees. Physical requirements include stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs/ladders, and ability to lift/carry heavy loads of 50 lbs. or more.
  • Other Requirements: Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines. Must be currently authorized to work in the United States without the need for visa sponsorship now or in the future.
