Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with management to negotiate favorable terms with suppliers and vendors.
  • Maintain thorough records of correspondence and documentation related to contracts.
  • Communicate and present contract-related information to stakeholders effectively.
  • Monitor contracts and facilitate close-out, extension, or renewal based on best business practices.
  • Review existing contracts to ensure ongoing viability and effectiveness.
  • Build and sustain long-term relationships with suppliers and vendors.
  • Manage organizational spending by maximizing vendor value while minimizing risk through established practices.
  • Oversee the Procurement budget and foster a culture of long-term savings.
  • Review purchase details and authorize purchase requests and orders.
  • Utilize RFPs to gather extensive vendor data for informed decision-making.
  • Develop, review, and implement procurement policies to ensure compliance and return on investment.
  • Engage in inventory management, supplier selection, and product research.
  • Address supplier issues, risk management, and contract modifications.
  • Establish strong supplier relationships, maintain clear communication, and stay informed on market trends.

Supervision Structure:

  • This position reports to the Controller and collaborates closely with finance operations and various departments.

Supervision Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the Purchasing Clerk.

Qualifications:

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree required, preferably in Business Administration.
  • Alternatively, five years of relevant experience in supply chain, contract preparation, or administration may be considered.
  • High school diploma or GED is required.

Licensure:

  • No specific licensure required.
