Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Accounts Payable Coordinator to join our team at Stony Brook Medicine. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing financial transactions, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring compliance with relevant accounting regulations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Receive, sort, and process invoices, payments, and receipts in a timely manner
  • Update and maintain accurate financial records in PeopleSoft, AvidxChange, and OnBase
  • Assist with daily Concourse and Concur related transactions
  • Handle inquiries from various departments, vendors, and partners to resolve discrepancies and issues
  • Set up, maintain, and update contact information for vendors and customers
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant accounting regulations and standards
  • Assist with audits by providing necessary documentation and supporting materials
  • Maintain detailed records to support internal and external audits
  • Coordinate with other departments to ensure smooth financial operations
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree (foreign equivalent or higher) with experience in accounts payable, accounts receivable, and/or related fields
  • Or Associate's degree with two (2) years of full-time related experience in accounts payable, accounts receivable, and/or related fields
  • Or High school diploma/GED and four (4) years of full-time related experience
  • Experience working in a higher education setting
  • Preferred qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; experience with PeopleSoft, Concur, Concourse Eras, and AvidxChange
