Position Overview

Job Title: Director of Institutional Giving

Status: Exempt Full-Time

Reports To: Chief Executive Officer (CEO)

Position Summary:

The Director of Institutional Giving plays a pivotal role in shaping and executing the comprehensive fundraising strategy for the Domestic Violence Center of Chester County (DVCCC). This position is responsible for articulating the organization's mission and programs to secure funding from various institutional sources, including government entities, foundations, corporations, and individual donors.

Key Responsibilities:

1. **Grant Application Management:**
- Lead the process of applying for and securing institutional grants.
- Prepare compelling proposals and grant applications, ensuring all performance reports are completed accurately and on time.
- Conduct thorough research to identify potential funding opportunities that align with DVCCC's objectives.

2. **Funding Strategy Development:**
- Collaborate with the CEO, CFO, and other leadership team members to create an annual institutional fundraising plan, including setting specific goals and strategies for grant acquisition.
- Maintain a detailed schedule of grant application deadlines and reporting requirements.

3. **Collaboration and Communication:**
- Work closely with internal teams to gather necessary information for grant applications and reports.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to the development of organizational and project budgets for funding proposals.

4. **Relationship Building:**
- Establish and nurture relationships with current and prospective institutional funders.
- Engage with stakeholders through regular communication, updates on DVCCC's initiatives, and invitations to events.

5. **Stewardship and Reporting:**
- Ensure proper acknowledgment and recognition of grants received from institutional sources.
- Prepare and submit required grant reports, maintaining transparency and accountability.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in English, communications, or a related field.
- Minimum of two years of experience in grant writing or institutional fundraising.
- Strong understanding of the grant submission process and fundraising principles.
- Excellent research, organizational, and time management skills.
- Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and integrity.

Additional Requirements:

- Flexibility to work outside standard hours as needed to meet program and grantor requirements.
- Compliance with all agency policies and procedures.

This position is essential for advancing the mission of DVCCC and ensuring the sustainability of its programs and services.
