The Business Development Representative position at Gable Search Group is a dynamic role that requires a skilled and results-driven individual to prospect, acquire, and maintain new commercial fuels bids and wholesale opportunities. This position is responsible for strengthening existing customer relationships, increasing profitability, and managing complex sales processes.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and execute strategies to strengthen existing customer relationships and retain bids
• Increase profitability through creative gross profit strategies and risk management programs
• Acquire and manage large, short-term bid opportunities to increase overall gallon and gross profit output
• Build existing territory's gallons through acquisition of new bid account locations and implementation of marketing strategies
• Provide quality service to customers through daily contact, including order receipt, problem resolution, quoting, and delivery implication resolution
• Manage and maintain bid contracts, monitor customers' contractual agreements, and ensure timely invoicing and resolution of A/R discrepancies
• Prospect new bid opportunities, build relationships with key purchasers, and target large-scale bid opportunities
• Exceed gallon and gross profit objectives through the acquisition of new quality/volume bids and working with the credit and supply departments to maximize account potential
Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or Communications from an accredited four-year college or university
• Proven success as an inside or outside sales representative
• Strong computer skills, including experience working in Windows, Internet Explorer, and MS-Office
• In-depth knowledge of the petroleum industry preferred
