Job Description:
Rutland Regional Medical Center is seeking a detail-oriented Sterile Processing Technician to join our team. As a Sterile Processing Technician, you will be responsible for the primary sterilization and decontamination of all instrumentation and equipment according to current recognized and approved standards.

About the Position:

You will work in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple tasks at one time and maintaining accurate records. The ideal candidate will have a strong working knowledge of general infection control practices and be able to maintain composure under stressful conditions.


Responsibilities and Requirements:
  • Primary sterilization and decontamination of instrumentation and equipment according to established standards.
  • Ensure all application information is up to date and in order before applying for this opportunity.
  • Pursue CPSPD Certification upon hire.
  • Participate in 3-month in-house training program and weekend on-call rotation.
  • High School graduate or equivalent.
  • One year of healthcare experience preferred.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated moderate knowledge of basic computer skills.
