Rutland Regional Medical Center is seeking a highly skilled Chief Disaster Response Coordinator to join our team. This critical role will oversee the organization's emergency preparedness activities and readiness, ensuring that we maintain a state of preparedness for all emergencies.

About the Role:

  • This individual will be responsible for financial management, quality improvement, staff education and development, program development, and communication in relation to emergency preparedness.
  • The Chief Disaster Response Coordinator will ensure compliance with all emergency preparedness regulatory requirements outlined by state and federal agencies.
  • Serving as the primary liaison with organizations and agencies regarding actual emergency events and emergency preparedness planning and exercises.

Requirements:

  • A Bachelor's Degree in Disaster/Emergency Management, Public Safety/Disaster Operations, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • At least 5 years' experience in large organization emergency preparedness, including three years in a leadership role with a proven record of emergency preparedness planning, exercise planning/execution, and grant support.
  • Experience in HAZMAT Decontamination and Emergency Response Team management/coordination is preferred.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certification in disaster, hazardous materials decontamination, or ICS/HICS training is preferred.
  • A valid Driver's License is required.

  • Able to develop and deliver training materials for employees of all levels as well as the community.
  • Able to work in a multi-disciplinary team environment.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to coordinate many simultaneous activities.
  • Professional presentation skills.
  • Proficient Microsoft desktop application skills.

The salary range for this position is $60,300.00 - $96,000.00.
