Job Overview

The Rutland Regional Medical Center is seeking a highly skilled Emergency Preparedness Manager to join their team. In this critical role, you will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and directing emergency preparedness activities to ensure the organization's readiness and ability to respond effectively in emergency situations.

About the Role

  • This is a leadership position that requires strong organizational, communication, and project management skills.
  • You will work closely with various departments and stakeholders to develop and implement emergency preparedness plans, conduct training exercises, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Experience in HAZMAT decontamination, emergency response team management, and hospital emergency preparedness is highly preferred.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Disaster/Emergency Management, Public Administration, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • At least 5 years of experience in large organization emergency preparedness, including 3 years in a leadership role.
  • Certification in disaster, hazardous materials decontamination, or ICS/HICS training is highly desired.

Skills and Qualifications

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Able to develop and deliver training materials for employees and the community.
  • Strong organizational skills, able to coordinate multiple activities simultaneously.
  • Professional presentation skills, proficient in Microsoft desktop applications.
  • Knowledge of emergency management phases, planning, education, and exercise requirements.

Salary Range: $80,000 - $120,000 per year
