Director of Facilities Operations

CareSTL Health is seeking a qualified Director of Facilities Operations to lead our facilities management team.

Job Summary

The Director of Facilities Operations is responsible for ensuring the routine operation, maintenance, and safety of all owned, leased, or managed facilities of the organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Facilities Management: Develop, implement, and monitor the facility improvement master plan, including a deferred maintenance schedule and ongoing five-year plan.
  • Capital Projects: Plan, direct, and monitor the progress of development projects such as building or renovating clinical sites.
  • Service Contract Management: Review, negotiate, and oversee ongoing services contracts related to the facility.
  • Work Order Management: Manage service request intake and work order management, work delegation, and completion tracking.
Additional Responsibilities
  • Policy Development: Develop, review, and update policies, procedures, process improvement, training, and evaluation metrics.
  • Staff Management: Hire, train, lead, evaluate, and motivate staff; provide positive reinforcement and recognition; and discipline and implement corrective actions as necessary.
  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with rules and regulations that impact clinic operations, including participation in audits.
  • Communication: Ensure communication of goals, objectives, policies, and procedures both up and down the chain of command through meetings, huddles, and other forms of communication.
Requirements and QualificationsEducation

Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in Facilities Management, Building Construction, Engineering, Architecture, or related field OR a minimum of 10 years of significantly related job experience required.

Experience

3-4 years of experience in facility operations, facility management, construction project management, general construction, or related experience.

5 years of progressively responsible management experience in plant/facilities management is required for ALL candidates.

  • Reading and Interpretation: Reading blueprints and site floor plans.
Transportation Requirement

Must have reliable transportation.

Supervisory Responsibility

None.

Additional Information

Clinic hours are Monday - Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

11 paid holidays per year.
