Department of Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services is seeking a Social Work Program Director to oversee our social work initiatives. The Social Work Program Director is responsible for planning, organizing, and managing the social work services within our facilities. The ideal candidate will lead comprehensive social work programs and provide consultation across various treatment environments, delivering essential casework and social services to both patients and their families. This role includes administering the social work program to ensure compliance with accreditation standards for patient care.

In this position, you will supervise all clinical, social work, and recreational therapy staff, and participate in on-call rotations to maintain continuity of care for individuals receiving services. The candidate must demonstrate strong administrative and clinical decision-making skills, as well as the ability to foster and maintain professional relationships.

Job Type/Compensation:
  • Full Time Base Salary: $83,000
    • Salary is contingent upon experience, tenure, and certification.
    • Preference may be given to licensed individuals.
    • 5% Longevity incentive on anniversary dates at 1 and 3 years with the Department.
  • Full compensation range up to $105,000, which includes base salary, retirement benefits, and a state-paid benefit allowance to assist with benefit elections.
  • FLSA Status: Exempt
  • Number of Vacancies: One (1)
Qualifications:
Applicants must possess a master's or Ph.D. degree in social work or a related field, along with five (5) years of experience in professional clinical social work within a hospital, mental health facility, or community-based setting, including two (2) years in a supervisory or administrative role.

Candidates must hold Oklahoma licensure as a LPC, LCSW, LMFT, LADC, or a comparable license in the behavioral health sector.

Special Requirements:

  • Physical examination requirements include the ability to occasionally lift/carry 50 pounds and exert a maximum force of 25 pounds.
Note: This agency requires coverage 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Work hours and locations may vary based on business needs, and employees may be required to work weekends and overtime.
