Department of Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services is seeking a Social Work Program Director to oversee the operations at our inpatient facility. The Social Work Program Director is responsible for the planning, organization, and administration of social work services within the department. The ideal candidate will lead comprehensive social work initiatives and provide consultation across various treatment environments, delivering a broad spectrum of case management and social services to patients and their families. This role includes managing the social work program to ensure compliance with accreditation standards for patient care. The director will supervise all clinical, social work, and recreational therapy staff, and participate in on-call rotations to maintain continuity of care for individuals receiving services.
Position Details:
  • Employment Type: Full Time
  • Base Salary: $83,000, commensurate with experience, tenure, and certification
  • Compensation Range: Up to $105,000, including base salary, retirement contributions, and state-paid benefits
  • FLSA Status: Exempt
  • Vacancies: One (1)
Qualifications:
Applicants must hold a master's or Ph.D. degree in social work or a related field, with a minimum of five (5) years of experience in clinical social work within a hospital, mental health facility, or community-based setting, including at least two (2) years in a supervisory or administrative role.

Candidates must possess licensure in Oklahoma as a LPC, LCSW, LMFT, LADC, or a comparable credential in the behavioral health sector.

Additional Requirements:
  • Applicants must pass an OSBI background check.
  • A valid US driver's license is required for job-related travel.
  • Conditional offers of employment for safety-sensitive positions will require a drug test.
  • Physical examination may be required, including the ability to lift/carry 50 pounds and exert a maximum force of 25 pounds.
Note: This agency requires coverage 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Work hours and locations may vary based on business needs, and employees may be required to work weekends and overtime.
