Compensation: The salary for this role ranges from $100,000 to $150,000, with the final amount determined by the candidate's skills and experience. Additionally, the position is eligible for an incentive program with quarterly and annual payouts.

Position Overview: The primary objective of the Corporate Banking Specialist is to strategically cultivate relationships within the Commercial and Industrial (C&I) sector. This role includes making prospecting calls to secure new loans, including owner-occupied loans, as well as deposit and treasury services.

The Corporate Banking Specialist will also oversee a select portfolio of existing clients, focusing on conducting annual loan assessments, gathering financial data, and addressing client inquiries.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Meet established production targets for loan origination.
  • Conduct prospect and client outreach to generate new business opportunities, concentrating on loans ranging from $500,000 to $8 million.
  • Thoroughly evaluate, analyze, and structure commercial and industrial loan proposals.
  • Engage with prospects to assess their needs, present suitable services, and resolve any issues.
  • Collaborate with or refer clients to other bank departments to ensure comprehensive service delivery.
  • Act as the primary relationship manager for clients' overall engagement with the bank.
  • Achieve sales and service objectives set by the Market President.
  • Participate in business development initiatives targeting existing and potential customers.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service while maintaining professionalism and a friendly demeanor in all interactions.
  • Maintain a broad understanding of all bank products and services to effectively cross-sell and respond to customer inquiries.
  • Represent the bank at community events to enhance its reputation and foster new business opportunities.
  • Conduct all interactions with clients in alignment with the bank's customer service standards and expectations.

Qualifications:

Experience:
  • A minimum of five (5) years in Commercial and Industrial lending, deposits, and Treasury services.
  • Proven success in securing high-quality commercial and industrial loans.
  • Preferred experience with SBA programs and offerings.
Education: Bachelor's degree in business, finance, or a related discipline.

Skills & Competencies:
  • A well-established network of high-quality clients and prospects within the commercial and industrial loan sector.
  • A strong track record of success in generating high-quality commercial and industrial loans.
  • Self-motivated with a creative approach to sales.
  • Excellent relationship management and sales prospecting abilities, including influencing and advisory skills.
  • Strong negotiation and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Ability to connect, influence, and empathize with clients.
  • Exceptional time management skills, capable of handling multiple projects with timely follow-through.
  • Effective oral and interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to present confidently to various audiences.
  • Solid understanding of financial and business principles.
  • Detail-oriented and goal-driven.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
