Job Overview

Core Responsibilities:
Deliver engineering and consulting expertise across a diverse range of projects and clientele. This role may involve conducting and/or leading field assessments, engineering evaluations, calculations, and recommendations, as well as designing and developing plans and specifications. Responsibilities also include oversight and inspection, along with the drafting, preparation, and review of associated reports for the services rendered. Evaluate drawings and construction to ensure adherence to plans and specifications. Prepare proposals and cost estimates, monitor and assess project progress, budgets, and suggest modifications as necessary. Investigate and resolve design and construction challenges. Assign, review, and assess laboratory or field data for report inclusion. Employ sound engineering principles and effectively communicate intricate engineering issues and concepts to both technical and non-technical clients and project teams. Services may be provided for existing or proposed projects in sectors such as public works, transportation, commercial, communications, energy, and/or industrial.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Adhere to safety protocols, guidelines, and standards for all projects. Engage in pre-task planning and report any safety concerns to management.
  • Uphold quality standards across all projects.
  • Act as a fully competent engineering professional responsible for managing detailed phases of projects of moderate size and complexity.
  • Independently execute a variety of projects or selected segments of larger initiatives.
  • Plan, schedule, conduct, and/or coordinate detailed phases of assigned project work.
  • Collaborate closely with senior project managers to gain additional project management experience for more complex and larger projects.
  • Make recommendations for design, engineering, and construction adaptations and modifications.
  • Draft proposals and reports for small and large projects of varying complexity.
  • Conduct quality control reviews of proposals prepared by others.
  • Analyze complex laboratory and field data for report inclusion.
  • Serve as a technical advisor to junior project team members.
  • Engage directly with clients and project teams to develop service scopes, communicate project progress, findings, and recommendations.
  • Compose and prepare routine and complex engineering reports detailing services provided, findings, and recommendations.
  • Participate in marketing, sales, and business development activities.
  • Supervise graduate, field, and project engineering staff.
  • Work under the guidance of an Authorized Project Reviewer.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
  • 5-8 years of relevant experience.
  • Master's degree in Engineering is preferred.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) registration.
  • Valid driver's license with an acceptable violation history.
